Tarah M. Carrera is a writer who uses her personal experiences and love for myth and the supernatural to craft stories that strike a chord deep within. Her background in creative writing and her passion for emotional storytelling shape every piece she creates, inviting readers into worlds where magic and vulnerability intertwine.

Inspiration behind the work

Tarah draws inspiration from her own life, merging her love of the paranormal with her experiences as a mother and a woman navigating loss and healing. Her work reflects her desire to find beauty in the unseen and to explore the magical aspects of everyday life, offering readers a glimpse into the mystical and emotional realms that inspire her stories.

Her literary journey

Starting as a musician, singer/songwriter, at just sixteen, Tarah eventually expanded into fiction, and eventually, poetry and prose, developing a distinctive voice that blends lyrical prose with paranormal themes. Her journey has taken her from personal reflection to publishing her own books, aiming to connect on a heartfelt level with her readers through raw honesty and mythic wonder.

Beyond writing

When she isn’t writing, Tarah enjoys creating art, and even owns a small Etsy storefront and gallery. Otherwise, she is a mother of five and caretaker of her adult son with a very rare and fatal disease known as Cockayne Syndrome. Being an advocate and giving voice to awareness has also become a passion of hers.
